Marketing/Advertising. The Story. The person who does this job understands the “how-to” of saying the right things in the right order so that advertising creates sales results. It’s a combination of knowing some psychology, understanding industry practices, strategic planning–and WRITING. A common ‘technique’ for Workmen’s is to use informational advertising to attract visitors from the search engines, then let prospects use your website navigation to find the right information specific to their concerns.

Design/Creative. The Look. The person doing this job creates the imagery that contains, supplements and improves the sequence and presentation of your information. This is a critical function because human brains process imagery much more quickly than words–and you need to make your advertising easy for your customer’s BRAINS!

Technology/Programming. Publishing Control. The person who does this job understands the “how-to” of using tech to deliver the work of those other two categories. Also,  programmers work on the part of your advertising that is best suited to work with the search engine’s databases to bring real visitors to your website.
